If you would like to purchase one of our puppies, please contact us first to make sure that the puppy is still available. Almost always if its still showing as available, it is, as we try very hard to keep this site updated. Occasionally though, we do fall behind and we wouldn't want anyone to get their heart set on a particular puppy and find out its gone already. We can be reached fastest at basskennels@yahoo.com
I recommend emailing us over calling. We are all very busy with the dogs and puppies and seldom near the phone. We do check our voice mails/emails often throughout the day/night so leave a message and we'll be in touch as soon as possible.
We require a $100 deposit to hold a puppy. The deposit is non refundable unless something happens to the puppy while in our care. The balance must be paid by the time the puppy is 8 wks old unless other arrangements are made. Once we have discussed you sending a deposit, we allow 4 days for the deposit to reach us by mail. If it is not received by then, the puppy will be offered for sale again.
The purchase contract needs to be printed and mailed/faxed to us at the time the deposit is made. You need only to fill out the part with your name, address, phone number and requested airport if shipping. Click here for the purchase contract
We accept payment for deposit by in cash, money order or paypal For paypal deposits we will send you a invoice to pay which includes a 3.5% fee to the total(about $3.50 per hundred) to cover charges to us by paypal.
If you are unable to pick up/receive your puppy up by the date he/she will be ready, please contact us immediately. We will as a courtesy to you hold your puppy here for a additional week at no charge. After that date you will be responsible for any charges for additional care including vaccinations, dewormings. If after two weeks of the agreed pickup date you have not paid in full, we will place the puppy back up for adoption and the deposit will be forfeited. This can be avoided simply by keeping in contact with us and letting us know whats going on. We will work with you as much as possible. So please keep in touch with us!
You are more than welcome to come here and pick your puppy up, however we know everyone cannot do that, so shipping is available if needed at a cost of $300, which includes airfare, crate, health certificate and insurance. We do not inflate the shipping price and make no money shipping at all. It is a courtesy to our customers only. We are over 2 hours from the airport so try to make only one trip weekly if possible. Please don't ask us to negotiate shipping charges , it is just not possible. Shipping is available to all larger airports and many smaller ones too. Shipping is safe and we insure our puppies as well. We try to get the puppy shipped to airport nearest you, but it must be serviced by the airlines we use, Delta, Continental or American. We cannot use Delta or American during the summer months due to heat restrictions . Also for Boston Terriers, we use only Continental year round and Delta (winter months only). Please be aware that not all airplanes can carry puppies, only the larger ones equipped to handle live animals. They must have a climate controlled area for pets. There for flights are more select. We try to accommodate your schedule, but often you'll have to accommodate the airlines schedule instead. Flight are booked after final payment has been made. You will be provided all necessary information for pickup at that time. Puppies are generally picked up at the airports cargo area or the baggage claim office. You will need to show ID at that time to pick your puppy up.
There are no refunds given on shipping fee after puppy has been checked in at the airport and fees paid to the airline.

We welcome potential adopters to visit our puppies. You will be visiting our home not a kennel even though our name is Bass Kennel. Visits are by appointment only. If you are unable to keep your appointment please call. When visiting we will show you any available puppy and any parent to any puppy you are interested in. We do not allow tours of our birthing room/nursery. Our mothers would not appreciate the stress of having strangers holding her babies so we try to show babies away from their mother. We prefer puppies to be atleast 4 weeks of age before being shown. The mother is calmer and less upset with having her babies taken away to be shown than they are at earlier ages.
Please call to let me know if you are unable to keep your appointment or if you'll be late.
Please do not bring your dog with you when you visit. I get asked all the time if people can bring their dog so they can see if they like the puppy. It won't work like you think. Your dog will be nervous being in a strangers home where he can smell/see/hear other dogs and there will be puppies running all over the room. Your dog will not be comfortable in that kind of enviroment, trust me. Some of the nicest dogs in their own home have become nervous enough with all the action going on here that they've actually snapped at the puppies. Introducing your new puppy to your current dog on his own turf is best. If your dog gets along well with dogs its used to chances are it would be fine with meeting a new puppy when properly introduced in their own home. Dogs are pack animals, not people(even though they're generally alot nicer, LOL) and do tend to like other dogs and would most likely welcome a friend. Proper introduction is key
.
Children are welcome to visit too. Please supervise them with touching and holding the puppies.
And Finally- Please limit visitors to no more than 4 people including yourself when visiting. Too many people at once is stressfull to our mothers and puppies.
Keeping our dogs/puppies happy healthy and safe is the #1 priority! You wouldn't want it any otherway, right?
